Burglar caught on Ring doorbell video tried to blame his identical twin
criminal who was recorded on video trying to break into a house in the middle of the night claimed in court that the culprit was his identical twin brother.A Ring doorbell captured damning evidence that of Adam Reynolds was the person who entered an unlocked porch in Hartshill Road, Stoke, in the middle of the night.But despite being confronted with the evidence by police, the 34-year-old told investigating officers that it was his twin who was behind the burglary.Now the defendant - who has 62 convictions for 148 offences including two previous burglaries - is back behind bars.READ MORE: Girl, 13, lured unsuspecting teen to his death after voice note saying 'I'm so excited'Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard Reynolds, of no fixed address, crept inside the porch at 4.30am on October 10 last year after being released on licence.Prosecutor Antonie Muller said: "Overnight on October 7 to 8 somebody had gone in and moved items. The owner noticed and purchased a Ring doorbell which alerts her to movement."On the morning of October 10 she saw a number of these alerts.
