Personal information from 11m Facebook users in UK appears on hacking website

phone numbers, birthdays, names and locations, has reportedly appeared on a hacking website in recent days, reports The Mirror.

Details from more than 500million Facebook users globally are understood to have been impacted by the breach. Scots can check if they are among the people affected by the breach by visiting a website called HaveIBeenPwned.

Concerned Facebook users simply enter in their email address or phone number to discover if their details have been included in the illicit data dump.Facebook claims that the data that has appeared on the website is old and was stolen during a breach in 2019. Business Insider recently reported on the breach, which saw a user of a low-level hacking forum re-publish the stolen data.
