Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Tiger King is back! On Saturday (September 25), Netflix shared a new teaser and announced the release date for the sequel to their hit docuseries. Click inside to see the trailer… The clip promises a closer look at some of the memorable characters from the first installment, featuring appearances from Carole Baskin, Jeff Lowe and more.

It also included a brief snippet of an interview with Joe Exotic in jail, where he is currently serving a 22-year sentence for attempting a murder-for-hire plot.

Netflix says that Tiger King 2 will feature more “madness and mayhem.” Directors Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin are returning for the second installment.
