Mesut Ozil is into the final few weeks of a seven-and-a-half year endorsement deal with Adidas, with his representative confirming that the contract won't be renewed as the Arsenal star concentrates on developing his own brand.

There were reports in his homeland that the German playmaker had been dumped by the sportswear giant as they take stock of their contracts amid the financial uncertainty caused by the coronavirus crisis.

But the player's agent Erkut Sogut insists that the deal hasn't been cut short, and is instead just coming to a natural conclusion as Ozil seeks to promote his personal M10 brand. “There is no termination,” Sogut told The Athletic. “The contract is running out.
