Manchester United will be without striker Edinson Cavani for their must-win clash with rivals Manchester City. Having missed four games with injury, the Uruguayan returned to the starting line-up for United’s last match, a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace.
However, Cavani was among the players who checked into the Lowry hotel for the trip across town to the Etihad. Anthony Martial, who missed the Palace game with knee trouble is expected to return and lead the line once again.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will also be without Paul Pogba as the Frenchmen continues his recovery from a thigh injury. Juan Mata is also a long-term absentee while Donny van de Beek also remains sidelined with an unspecified injury.
