The convicted sex offender allegedly confessed to a friend about the killing, saying he 'knew all about' what had happened to her.
The alleged confession reportedly occurred on the tenth anniversary of Maddie's abduction after her picture appeared on the German pub's TV screen, according to Sky News crime correspondent Martin Brunt.
The suspect then allegedly showed the person a video of him raping a woman prompting him to report his suspicions to the police.
