Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Luke Shaw backed up Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's surprising claim with his well-taken goal in Manchester United's 2-0 victory at Manchester City.
The left-back had a starring role in Sunday's Manchester derby and doubled United's lead in the 50th minute. Shaw received the ball from Marcus Rashford on the left of the penalty area and fired into the far bottom corner, leaving City goalkeeper Ederson rooted to the spot.
The 25-year-old's first goal of the season capped a fine display in which he also kept a clean sheet. It also justified Solskjaer's remarkable claim about Shaw, which the latter opened up about earlier this season.
