Ofcom has received complaints over the age gaps between contestants on the hit ITV dating programme Love Island.The show was hit by over 200 complaints in the first week, with 167 of them aimed at the age gap between contestants in an episode aired on 7 June.This segment saw Gemma Owen, 19, and Italian Stallion Davide Sanclimenti, 27, share a kiss after being coupled up. But it also received 93 further complaints for an episode aired on 12 June that were aimed at both the age gaps and other areas.

ITV2 received more than 200 complaints about Love Island in its first week of broadcast.
