This week saw the cancellation of Netflix‘s comic book series “Jupiter’s Legacy,” the first Millarworld adaptation after their big deal was announced back in 2017. Instead, the streaming giant would turn multiple Mark Millar comics into films, series, and cartoons.

Based on the Mark Millar comic book property, when the Netflix comic book series “Jupiter’s Legacy” debuted early last month, it received mostly negative reviews, and comic fans seemed irked by the adaptation. If you don’t know the name Mark Millar yet, you probably are at least familiar with his work. The comic book writer has co-created some of the most well-known non-Marvel/DC comic book franchises over the past couple of decades, having spawned “Kick-Ass,” “The Kingsman,” “Wanted,” and the recent “Jupiter’s Legacy.” And it appears that in addition to some of the other films and TV series he has on the slate, a project that hasn’t had an update in years, “Nemesis,” just took a major step towards getting made.
