A 17-year-old girl has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder Wednesday in connection to an Elkview, W. Va. family that was found dead in their home earlier this week.

A juvenile has been charged with four murders in connection to individuals found dead in a southern West Virginia home Sunday morning. According to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office, police responded to a 911 call placed at around 10:40 a.m.

Residents in a section of Belle, W. Va., were told to shelter in place late Tuesday after a “chemical incident” at a local chemical plant, Reuters reported.

Three more suspects have been arrested in connection with Tuesday’s shooting death of Charleston, W.Va., police Officer Cassie Johnson, authorities said Saturday, according to a report. All three new suspects are facing charges of felony conspiracy, WOWK-TV of Huntington, W.Va., reported.The individuals were at the residence where the primary suspect, Joshua Phillips, allegedly went to buy drugs.

A West Virginia police officer was shot in the face Tuesday, and a suspect has been detained, according to local media reports.  The Charleston police officer was shot sometime in the afternoon, WCHS-TV reported. Investigators said the suspect also was hit, WSAZ-TV reported.  It was not clear what led to the shooting. The officer was undergoing surgery, according to a statement issued by Police Chief Tyke Hunt and Charleston Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin. The Charleston Police Department did not respond to messages and calls from Fox News.  The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department, which is assisting in the investigation, declined to comment.  In a tweet, Kanawha County said it was praying for the police department.
