Lewis Capaldi (born 7 October 1996) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He was nominated for the Critics' Choice Award at the 2019 Brit Awards. In March 2019, his single "Someone You Loved" topped the UK Singles Chart where it remained for seven weeks, and in October 2019 it reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. On 17 May 2019 he released his debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which remained at the top of the UK Albums Chart for six weeks.

Lewis Capaldi has branded Sean Connery a "bam" after he said he disagreed with his views on hitting women. The Bathgate singer was being interviewed by French TV station France24 when he made the remarks about the former James Bond star.

Capaldi was taking part in a game called 'Bam or Belter' where journalist Marjorie Hache asked the 23-year-old what he thought about famous Scots, past and present.
