The athlete had been hiding his drug habit for a long time at this point and had been smoking marijuana all summer long when he was picked for the team, something he described as "one of the biggest honours" of his career.
Lamar opened up about the extreme lengths he went to to pass the drugs test and secure his place on the team in his memoir Darkness To Light.
