Luke Shaw suggests that artificial surfaces should not be permitted in the Champions League in the wake of Manchester United's defeat to Young Boys on Tuesday night.

United fell to a shock 2-1 defeat in their opening match of Group F after a late goal from Jordan Siebatcheu snatched all three points for the Swiss side.

Cristiano Ronaldo had given United the lead early on in the match before the game turned on its head when Aaron Wan-Bissaka was shown a straight red for a clumsy tackle before half-time.

Moumi Ngamaleu levelled the scores after the break before Siebatcheu capitalised on a poor backpass from Jesse Lingard to secure a shock victory for his side in the fifth minute of added time.
