Girls Aloud reunite for first time in 9 years to pay tribute to tragic Sarah Harding

Girls Aloud made their first appearance in front of the cameras since 2013 as they took part in Race for Life in memory of their late bandmate Sarah Harding.Cheryl, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts smiled for the cameras in London's Hyde Park before taking part in the 5km race.All three of the women were wearing the signature pink top, with Nicola pairing it with black leggings and loose hair, while Nadine opted for high-waisted black shorts.READ MORE: Girls Aloud's Kimberley and Nicola reflect on 'magical' Sarah Harding tribute eventCheryl went for high waisted light grey leggings and tied her hair back under a flat cap as all three women stood next to each other and posed for the cameras.Fellow bandmate Kimberley Walsh couldn't make the event, but promised she would walk the distance remotely.The singer made an appearance alongside her bandmates via video link on Nicola's phone as they started the race to the sound of airhorns.Thousands of people gathered to see the pop stars run alongside other competitors also taking part in the Cancer Research UK event.All of the money raised from the event will help to fund vital cancer research, with runners paying £15 to take part.The four singers had vowed to run in the race to pay tribute to Sarah Harding, who died from breast cancer aged 39 in September last year.They are also planning to reunite on stage for a special gig for Sarah after cancelling their reunion tour following Sarah's death.Girls Aloud's gig is expected to happen later this year, with some of the proceeds going towards funds for medical kits to help detect cancer.Nadine said: "We’re planning a night for an event to raise money in honour of Sarah."We want to do something to help others.
