They claimed the youngsters coughed at them while shouting "I've corona". The five-strong gang of four boys and one girl were hanging around the Newcastle area of the city when they targeted the lone walker, reports Dublin Live.
One of the youngsters began coughing loudly before shouting abuse at the walker saying they had the virus.
