A shooting has raised fears that a violent Cheetham Hill gun war has erupted again. Since last year there have been a series of attacks caused by a feud between two crime gangs in the area.
The root cause of the violence is thought to be a dispute over drugs territory and several young men have been shot. In the latest incident, between two and four shots were fired on Galsworthy Avenue at about 1.15am on Monday.
No one was injured but some damage was caused to a vehicle on the street. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
