At the start of January, 14 ‘modal filters’ were installed across Levenshulme as part of a six-month trial by Manchester Council to ease road traffic in the area.
In development since 2018, the scheme had been met with a series of setbacks, including changes in the project team and concerns that the locations of the 'strategically placed' filters hadn't been properly consulted with local residents.
