Fernandinho admits he could quit Manchester City to join Major League Soccer. The Brazilian international joined City from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013 for £34m and has gone on to become one of the club's most influential stars.
The defensive midfielder has helped City win three Premier League titles and five League Cups. Fernandinho will be 35 in May, but remains one of Pep Guardiola 's favourite and most versatile stars.
He only recently signed a new 12-month deal that will keep him at the Etihad until the summer of 2021. But with City banned from the Champions League for two seasons due to serious breaches of FFP rules, doubts remain about which of Guardiola's superstars will be willing to stay with the club.
