Dundee United are poised to announce the signing of Tony Watt after the Tannadice club met Motherwell's demands for the striker.Watt had already signed a pre-contract to join United in the summer but talks have been ongoing over whether or not he could move this month.Now he is set to link up with Dundee United for their return to Premiership action against St Mirren on Tuesday night after agreeing a fee with Motherwell.Watt is the club's top scorer and will bring an end to his spell with the Steelmen ahead of their trip to Ross County, boss Graham Alexander confirmed at his press conference ahead of the game.The striker signed for the Steelmen under Stephen Robinson back in 2020.
He has netted 19 times with 11 assists for the Fir Park club.'Well boss Graham Alexander is not looking for a direct replacement for Watt as there is enough depth in his squad to cope with the loss.
