Similar but not identical, since the frock appears to have been ‘updated’ to mesh with modern sensibilities, as were some of the outfits Emma Corrin wore when she played Diana in The Crown.
As, let’s be frank, were the plots and the ‘recollections’ in The Crown.It’s not the frock interpretations that take the liberties however, so much as the pose.
We see the back view of Diana/Kristen, slumped in despair on what we imagine is a floor somewhere – a cross between Jennifer Lawrence when she fell flat on her face.
