His management confirmed his death in a statement that read: ‘It’s with great regret and heart-wrenching sadness for us and million of fans around the world, to announce that our client DAVE PROWSE M.B.E.
has passed away at the age of 85.’Prowse’s agent called him a ‘hero’, adding: ‘May the force be with him, always.’After news of his death surfaced, celebrities have been remembering Prowse on social media, with Star Wars actor Mark Hamill – famed for playing Luke Skywalker – remembering Prowse as ‘so much more than Darth Vader’.
