Following the announcement, EastEnders actor Danny made a very rare social media appearance himself as he told fans he is thrilled to become a granddad.
Posting a photo of Dani in hospital clutching her newborn, Danny shared: "So my baby had a baby. F**k me we needed some joy this year. "So proud of you @danidyerxx cannot wait to meet the little beaut." The Mick Carter actor's post quickly picked up lots of attention from his followers with many of his fellow EastEnders cast-members sharing their best wishes.
