Twenty-five new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Scotland with the total now reaching 60.The total for the UK as a whole has jumped to 798 while eight people in England have died after contracting Covid-19.The Scottish Government confirmed the latest cases earlier today in Grampian, Lothian, Lanarkshire, Greater Glasgow and Tayside.It follows positive tests on patients in Shetland, Lanarkshire, Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Ayrshire and Arran, Forth Valley, Tayside and the Fife area.The first person to be diagnosed with Covid-19 in Scotland was from Tayside on March 1.Health Secretary Jeane Freeman said: "We expect the number of cases to rise and Scotland is well-prepared for a significant outbreak of coronavirus.
