dailystar.co.ukDaily Star's biggest headlines straight to your inbox!Children had to be treated for extreme sunburn across England and Wales yesterday as the UK experienced the hottest day of the year so far.Temperatures of over 30C was recorded in both countries.Three children were taken to the Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery in Swansea with sunburn on "fairly large areas of their bodies".The Swansea Bay University health board released a statement: "Our burns centre has been treating a lot of children with serious sunburn and staff fear a further surge in cases in the coming days."Please remember to be sun safe.
