Caroline Flack 's heartbroken mum has slammed the law chief who says the CPS was right to charge the late star with assault.
The Love Island host tragically took her own life in February just hours after learning that charges were being brought against her following an incident with her boyfriend Lewis Burton.
She was 40 years old. Her mum Chris still blames the CPS for "creating the toxic environment which ultimately led to Caroline’s death".
She pleaded: "Why can’t you let my beautiful daughter rest in peace?" In a highly-unusual intervention, Ed Beltrami, who was North London area head of the CPS, suggested Caroline may have attacked lover Lewis Burton again if the Crown Prosecution Service had not acted.
