Nicola Peltz had no intention of wearing a Victoria Beckham-designed dress for her wedding to Brooklyn, it has been reported, despite claims she “really wanted to.” A feud between the young actress and the Beckham clan has been hitting headlines since their £3m wedding day back in April, and it appears there may have been much more going on behind the scenes than initially reported.
While Nicola, 27, has spoken out on her decision not to wear a wedding dress designed by her mother-in-law, claiming Victoria’s atelier couldn’t do it in time, an insider has revealed that she “never intended” to wear one in the first place.
Speaking to DailyMail.com, the source said: “She was always just going to let her design something. But she was never going put that on her. “She has too many actually talented designer friends.” They added: “It's like when you have an in-law, and they say they make the best meatballs, you hate meatballs, but you let them cook it anyway. That's exactly what happened. “She was never, ever going to wear it.” However, Nicola had previously spoken out in an interview with Variety and said: "I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn't do it, so then I had to pick another dress." This was backed up by a second source, who insisted Nicola had every intention of wearing a design by Victoria, 48, but was left in the lurch “last minute.” They said: “Valentino was concerned that they didn't' have enough time to do the dress because Victoria didn't tell the Peltzes that her atelier couldn't make the dress for Nicola until the last minute.” Dress drama aside, it has also been reported that Nicola ended up “crying her eyes out” during her big day.
