The British actress became a household name playing Daphne Bridgerton alongside the 31-year-old heartthrob in the Netflix period drama in December.
Now a month on from the official announcement, the 26-year-old admitted she was given a “bit of a heads up” that Regé-Jean wouldn’t be reprising his role as the Duke of Hastings.
The star also explained that fans of Julia Quinn’s book series were already aware of the Duke’s departure and shared her excitement about the next series focusing on Lord Anthony Bridgerton.
