BREAKING: Murder arrest after man dies in Rochdale town centre

He was left lying in the street after being attacked in the early hours of Sunday morning.Police were called to the scene at 3.10am by paramedics responding to reports that a man was unconscious in a car park off The Esplanade, near Yates.The victim, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.Police say enquiries are ongoing to identify him and inform his next of kin.A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.He remains in custody for questioning.Detectives say they have established that the victim was assaulted following a conversation with three men and left lying in the road.
