Partey was in excellent form for Atletico before the La Liga season was halted by the coronavirus pandemic. The 26-year-old is the first-choice pivot for Rojiblancos boss Diego Simeone, although he can also play in attacking midfield.
Atletico are hoping to tie down Partey to a new deal - although discussions are still ongoing with no agreement reached yet.
And the longer the talks go on without a resolution, the more it will encourage Partey's suitors they can land the Ghana international if they trigger his £42million release clause.
