Hamilton Accies' visit to Aberdeen WILL go ahead - despite a Scottish Government publication stating the fixture had been axed.

In an update to the measures for the local lockdown in the city, the 'Sport' section claimed that the top flight fixture would not be played next Wednesday night.The government website states: "The Scottish Premier League (SPL) home fixture on Wednesday 12 August will not go ahead."This match has been cancelled due to Aberdeen FC players contracting Covid-19 and the need to minimise the risk of transmissions to other regions." The post came after the SPFL confirmed in a brief statement this afternoon that both the Hamilton and Celtic visit next weekend would go ahead.
