From the beginning, Ventura County officials maintained that she was likely the victim of drowning, especially based on the statement from Rivera’s 4-year-old son Josey Hollis Dorsey, who said they’d been swimming.
The discovery of the 33-year-old’s body on Monday seemingly confirmed that theory.
