It’s rare that a new slasher film is popular enough to be put up there with some of the classics like “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” “Halloween,” or even “Scream.” For that to happen, you have to have a villain who transcends the film and ventures into regular pop culture. Art the Clown and the “Terrifier” franchise is right on the cusp of that happening.
