Suga of K-pop boyband BTS and soloist IU are reportedly set to reunite for yet another collaboration.Today (March 10), South Korean media outlet SpoTV News reported that the two K-pop idols are set to release a new song together. If true, it would be the duo’s second collaboration, following their 2020 song ‘eight’.Big Hit Music has since spoken out about the report in a statement to Sports Today, saying that it is currently “difficult to confirm” whether or not Suga and IU are working together on new music.Suga will be the first member of BTS to go on a solo world tour.

IU has joined the cast of a new K-drama series titled Money Game (literal translation), based on the webtoon of the same name.Today (January 28), Naver Webtoon announced in a statement to Newsen that IU will star in the upcoming TV adaptation, based on Bae Jin-soo’s two digital comics, Money Game and Pie Game. She will be joined by Park Jeong-min (Hellbound), Ryu Jun-yeol (Lost), Park Hae-joon (Doctor Stranger) and comedian Bae Sung-woo.Currently slated to begin filming sometime in the first half of 2022, Money Game will follow eight participants who are placed in extreme circumstances, all while being disconnected from society as the prize money increases over time.

IU has revealed that a number of songs she wrote for her upcoming ‘LILAC’ were left off the tracklist because they didn’t fit the album’s tone.The 27-year-old singer said that she “didn’t hesitate” to remove some tracks from her highly anticipated fifth studio album, despite having composed them herself. IU explained that she created ‘LILAC’ with the perspective of a producer rather than a singer-songwriter, which made her realise that she didn’t need to write every song just because it was her record.“When I looked at it from the perspective of a producer, I came to the conclusion that there’s no need for there to be a self-composed song by IU just because it’s an IU album,” she told W Korea, per Soompi.
