A serial domestic abuser who raped two former partners and killed a pet hamster has been told he faces a ‘life sentence’.Craig Harkins was found guilty after trial of abusing four partners and raping two of them.
The abuse happened between September 2006 and early 2019 at addresses in East Kilbride , Castlemilk and Rutherglen. Appearing at the High Court in Glasgow on Tuesday, judge Lady Rae ordered a risk assessment on the 39-year-old.And she warned he could be hit with a lifelong restriction order.Lady Rae said: “There is a pattern of behaviour here and there is a likelihood that the accused will endanger the public at large if at liberty.”Harkins was convicted of 16 charges, including raping two of the women, as well as crimes of assault
