Biker gang member loses hand after bomb he was handling explodes in his garage
Michigan home on Saturday, FOX reported. The property, and 38-year-old, are now part of a criminal investigation after police uncovered guns, ammo, and evidence of the construction of bombs inside the home.Authorities seized more than a dozen handguns and rifles, AR-style magazines, and 4,000 rounds of ammunition, Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer said.He added that the Michigan motorcycle gang member was already on a federal agency's watchlist and, if he survives, faces months of care in a hospital bed - as well as felony charges. The commissioner also said Liburdi may be part of a domestic terrorism probe, however he said that couldn't be proven at this time."All indications are that the explosives were dangerous, to be used for criminal activity," said Commissioner Dwyer."We're very fortunate there were no other injuries."He said that Liburdi may have been in the process of fortifying his home and called the explosion a "lucky break" as it may have "prevented something worse".
