Royal snub for Meghan and Harry as Dutch King ‘won’t invite them to palace’
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been snubbed by the Dutch royals after reports they will not to be given an audience with the country's king.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected in the Hague “for the first few days” of the Invictus Games which run from April 16-22.King Willem-Alexander and his aunt Princess Margriet will both attend the Games for injured servicemen.A spokesperson for the Dutch royals confirmed: “King Willem-Alexander and Princess Margriet will attend the Invictus Games. “The Princess will be present at the opening ceremony on April 16, the King at the closing ceremony on April 22.” But the Dutch royals also confirmed that although Harry is a patron of the Games due to take place in the Netherlands, neither he nor his wife, Meghan, will be hosted by royalty.
