Green Day have soundtracked a new short skate film called ‘Monsters and Saviors’ – check it out below.The 11-minute film was edited and directed by Russell Houghten and was a collaboration between the band and Monster Energy, which sees a huge skate crew assemble to celebrate the band bringing their ‘Saviors’ tour across North America.The tour is celebrating the band’s new album of the same name, which was released in January, as well as the 30th anniversary of their seminal album ‘Dookie’ and 20th anniversary of the equally seminal ‘American Idiot’. In reference, the film uses one track from each album – ‘Longview’ from ‘Dookie’, the title track from ‘American Idiot’ and ‘Bobby Sox’ from ‘Saviors’.“There’s no denying Green Day’s legacy in the skate scene is anything less than iconic,” said Monster in a statement.
