Coronation Street’s Rana Nazir ‘still alive’ as viewers ‘work out’ Gary's downfall
Coronation Street cobbles is still on everyone’s lips - that Laura Neelan took the fall for Rick Neelan’s murder. And fans of the show think the latest twist in the Neelan legacy could only mean one thing - that Rana Nazir is actually still alive and could be returning to the show.Terminally ill Laura admitted to her daughter Kelly and to the police that she killed Rick, despite knowing Gary Windass actually committed the crime, in order for her daughter to get her dad’s money and grow up in a stable family. But with Laura’s death on the cards, fans are sure the storyline can’t simply end like that - allowing Kelly to go on hating her mum forever. With Gary technically guilty of Rana’s murder after causing the factory roof to collapse in a dodgy deal with Rick, fans are sure that the only way he could truly face justice if Laura keeps quiet is for Rana to return and tell on him.And with Faye Brookes’ character Kate Connor still alive despite exiting the show, it could mean their romance has a chance to blossom after all.Taking to Twitter, one eagle-eyed fan suggested an amnesia plot could be the way to go, with Rana forgetting what happened in the interim between her exit in 2019 and now. They tweeted: “Still hoping Corrie is trash soap enough to bring Rana back at some point with amnesia or something!”A second hopeful fan wrote: “It's Saturday morning and in my mind the Connor family are happy. Aidan and Johnny are alive.
