Def Leppard announce “unlocking date” for vault of rare band artefacts

Def Leppard have announced a new online collection of the band’s artefacts, stories and rarities, curated by Joe Elliott, Rick Savage, Rick Allen, Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell.The “Def Leppard Vault” is set to gather the band’s history in a digital museum, including special installations covering the band’s history from 1977 up to the present day.The collection will launch on Wednesday, January 13.

Foo Fighter’s Taylor Hawkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith to appear on Neil Peart’s tribute show

Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters and Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to appear in a tribute show for the late Neil Peart of Rush.The late Rush drummer died from a brain tumour in January after quietly battling brain cancer for the past three years.The tribute event, which takes place this Saturday night (September 12) will serve as a benefit for brain tumour research at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.A ticket to live-stream the show will cost $12.99 (£9.99) and will be aired on Fite.TV.
