LCD Soundsystem began their residency of shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton last night (June 27) – you can watch fan-shoot footage and see last night’s setlist below.The James Murphy-led band are playing six nights at the venue, with the second and third due to take place tonight and tomorrow (June 28-29).The final three gigs will then take place from Friday through to Sunday (July 1-3) – any remaining tickets are available here.LCD kicked off their first show last night with ‘Get Innocuous!’, with tracks from the band’s 2005 self-titled debut, 2007’s ‘Sound Of Silver’ and 2010’s ‘This Is Happening’ dominating the setlist.Closing with ‘Home’, the band returned to the stage for a three-song encore which consisted of ‘New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down’, ‘Dance Yrself Clean’ and set-closer ‘All My Friends’.You can watch fan-shot footage from the gig and see the setlist below.Considering I literally own the Blu-ray of their "last ever performance" recorded a decade ago, I didn't expect to ever be able to see LCD Soundsystem live. But now I have, and that's pretty fucking cool.

Death Cab For Cutie performed a headline show at London’s Royal Albert Hall last night (Wednesday March 29) – joking that they should be “sponsored by Boots” having spent the weekend battling illness. Check out photos, footage and the setlist from the show below.Last week saw the band kick off their UK tour in support of their acclaimed 2022 album ‘Asphalt Meadows’, before being forced to pull a run of shows due to frontman Ben Gibbard being struck down by illness. After returning to the stage to perform in Brighton and London’s Roundhouse, the US indie veterans played another stop at the capital at Royal Albert Hall.At one point in the show, Gibbard paused to make light of his recent plight with ill health while travelling around the UK.“You know how you’ll see shows like ‘Jack Daniels presents Mötley Crüe’ or ‘Budweiser presents The National?'” he started.

Bloc Party played an intimate show at The Garage in London last night (March 30), where they debuted some of their new material – watch below.The show was announced earlier this month, with a press release stating that the London gig would provide “a special, intimate chance to hear the band’s new material” for the first time. The gig also marked the band’s first live show since 2019.Bloc Party’s sixth studio album ‘Alpha Games’ is out on April 29.
