EastEnders star Katie Jarvis has plead guilty to racially aggravated harassment.The charge relates to an altercation with a woman in Southend-on-Sea in July 2020, OK! reports.Jarvis, 30, pleaded guilty at Basildon Crown Court after she was heard shouting "black lives don't matter" during the street row in July.Jarvis, who played Hayley Slater on the soap, was arrested and charged with racially aggravated harassment, common assault and two counts of assault by beating.The charges relate to an incident on Southend-on-Sea, in which it was alleged she got into an argument with four women outside Papillon's bar on the seafront.The actress originally denied the charges but after a morning of legal discussions, she plead guilty to using racially aggravated harassment against Michelle Antonio in July 2020.Jarvis also admitted to a charge of common assault.The court did not hear detail about the common assault charge, with prosecutors only confirming it was linked to a "spitting incident".Judge Samantha Leigh said CCTV captured the incident, which she described as "unpleasant".Jarvis was granted unconditional bail.Patrick Heart, who defended Jarvis, said statements from the former actress' family would be heard during sentencing.
