Leftfield have announced a pair of huge UK shows for 2025 to celebrate the band’s 35th anniversary.The production group, made up of Neil Barnes, Adam Wren and Sebastian Beresford, first played live in 1990, and next year they will mark their 35th birthday with shows in London and Glasgow.Leftfield will play the capital’s O2 Academy Brixton on May 30, their first show at the iconic venue for eight years, before a date at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom on June 6.Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10am on Friday (December 6), and you will be able to find yours here.It will be 35 years since I released the first LF track, ‘Not Forgotten’, and 30 years of Leftism. Warner Chappell has signed one of those lovely worldwide publishing deals with the current iteration of Leftfield, that being founder member Neil Barnes alongside Adam Wren.The deal has been confirmed just ahead of the release tomorrow of the fourth Leftfield album, ‘This Is What We Do’. It covers Barnes’ share of the outfit’s catalogue – including the two albums made in the 1990s with Paul Daley, ‘Leftism’ and ‘Rhythm And Stealth’ – plus future output.Says Barnes: “I’m so excited about the release of ‘This Is What We Do’.

Leftfield have shared a high-octane new single, ‘Accumulator’, and announced a run of “intimate” UK tour dates ahead of their new album ‘This Is What We Do’ in December.A press release describes ‘Accumulator’ as “a combination of skin and circuits, old and new,” as well as “an instinctive nod towards classic rave sounds”.It was also the first track written for the album, and was tested early on by Neil Barnes – who has led the project since the band’s initial split in 2002, when he and band member Paul Daley decided to pursue separate projects – during his DJ sets.Listen to ‘Accumulator’ below.Back in July, the band shared details of their forthcoming album ‘This Is What We Do’, as well as the record’s first single, ‘Pulse’.The announcement marked the first new music from the London electronic outfit since 2015’s ‘Alternative Light Source’.
