Netflix documentary debunks Marilyn Monroe death theory as tapes resurface
Netflix has debunked rumours surrounding the movie icon's death 60 years ago.The Hollywood legend died following a barbiturate overdose on Saturday, August 4, 1962, at just 36-years old.In the years since her death speculation and conspiracies about the exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy have been rife.She was reportedly found in her bed after passing away by her psychiatrist Ralph Greenson when he forced his way into her bedroom.It was suggested that he had been called to carry out a wellness check on Monroe after her housekeeper Eunice Murray called him and explained that they were concerned about her welfare.But, ambulance company owner Walt Schaefer has now discredited the claims, stating that Marilyn in fact died in an ambulance.Walt's version of events saw him recall how his driver Ken Hunter turned up at Marilyn's residence on the night she died to find her very much still alive but in a coma when he took her to hospital in Santa Monica.A cassette recording heard him saying: "No, she wasn’t dead at home."The claim was also backed up by several other sources including John Sherlock, a journalist who reported that psychiatrist Ralph had told him she was alive and being taken to Saint John’s Health Center.John said: "She died in the ambulance.
