'Chilling' moment woman walks down street 'with decapitated pensioner in suitcase'
Chilling CCTV footage has caught the moment a woman dragged a suitcase down a busy street, which allegedly contained the decapitated body of a pensioner she is accused of murdering. Jemma Mitchell, 38, allegedly beat 67-year-old Mee Kuen Chong, to death in a row over money on June 11, 2021.It has also been alleged that the former osteopath then decapitated the body before transporting the pensioner's remains in a suitcase through London and dumping it more than 200 miles away in Salcombe, Devon just over two weeks later.Jurors at the Old Bailey viewed CCTV clips today (Thursday, October 13), which tracked the last known sighting of Ms Chong on June 9 last year.She was seen appearing to walk for exercise in Chaplin Road where she lived accompanied by her lodger, crane operator David Klein.Just two days later, at around 6.30am, the court heard that Mitchell was seen on video walking from her address in Brondesbury Park in Willesden, north-west London with a large blue suitcase and backpack.She arrived in Chaplin Road at 8.01am and emerged just over five hours later at 1.13pm carrying the blue suitcase and another smaller bag allegedly containing Ms Chong’s financial paperwork.Mitchell was seen on CCTV dragging the bags on the street and through a grass verge for two hours before being picked up by a minicab for the 40-minute journey home.She was dropped outside her next-door neighbour’s house and then transferred the suitcases from the driveway to her home, the court was told.
