student had such a bad phobia of dentists he pulled out his own infected tooth with pliers.Jamie Ellison, 48, said he carried out the DIY extraction at his home as it “didn’t feel worth making a fuss” over the molar.He claimed the extraction eased the pain but urged others not to follow his example, Yorkshire Live reports.The former council officer used pliers and some wooden sticks to pull it out a year ago at his home in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.He said: “I used a pair of pliers and a bamboo skewer for leverage. I have a high tolerance to pain and, to be quite honest, it seemed worth it."I have been to see so many doctors and dentists it didn't feel worth making a fuss over the tooth.
