Just over ten years since the release of their explosive debut album Love Is Love // Return To Dust via Deathwish, Code Orange have continued to carve their own niche in the metal realm while still endeavoring for broader exposure (2017's Forever and 2021's Underneath were both nominated for Grammy awards, and the group have recorded a theme for WWE wrestler Bray Wyatt). The group haven't lost their edge in either their music or their capacity for world-building — yesterday, Code Orange uploaded a YouTube video called "Code Orange SLAMS Modern Music Critics" complete with your typical vloggy thumbnail picture.

Code Orange have released new remix album ‘What Is Really Underneath?’, a companion to 2020’s ‘Underneath’.The record is part remix and part soundtrack, containing elements of the 2020 album while “digging deeper down into the Code Orange universe with original unreleased companion pieces composed entirely by the band”, as they shared in a statement.The Pittsburgh hardcore punk band have also released a short film of the same name, directed by the band’s guitarist Eric ‘Shade’ Balderose.Scored by pieces from the album, the 13-minute film reportedly took more than 2,000 hours of work over four months.You can listen to ‘What Is Really Underneath?’ and watch the short film below.“It’s a chance to show more of what’s in the brain,” said frontman/ drummer Jami Morgan in a recent interview with Kerrang!. “That’s been an issue for me through our whole career – we’re at one stage publicly, but in my head I see so much more.”He continued: “I think it’s important to show people different corners of what it is that we do.

Code Orange have shared a new single called ‘Out For Blood’ – you can listen to it below.The song marks the first release from the Pittsburgh band since their fourth studio album, ‘Underneath’, which came out in March 2020.Speaking about the track, frontman Jami Morgan explained: “When they go right, we go left. Code Orange is OUT FOR BLOOD and we are just gettin’ started.”Produced by Rob Cavallo (My Chemical Romance, Green Day), ‘Out For Blood’ arrives as a standalone single rather than a preview of a forthcoming record.

Pittsburgh hardcore band Code Orange has livestreamed their performance to an empty Roxian Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA via Twitch. The show was planned as their record release party for their fourth LP Underneath—out Friday, March 13 via Roadrunner—before the venue postponed all of its scheduled shows in March due to coronavirus concerns.
