Loose Women devastated as Ukrainian guest forced to abandon show amid air raid siren
Loose Women panel were left devastated as a newsreader from Ukraine was forced to flee the interview as an air strike was announced.Ruth Langsford, Janet Street-Porter, Frankie Bridge and Kelle Bryan were joined by Marichka Padalko via video link on Wednesday (March 9), who was speaking from a Ukrainian newsroom.But just minutes into the interview, Marichka said she would have to leave, and hoped to come back another time.She apologised for the interruption as she explained that the air raid sirens were going off, and the crew had to evacuate the building and move to another location in order to pick up a broadcast.Marichka explained: "I'm actually working at the back-up studio and we have to pack up every time we have an alert in Kyiv."I know guys we've been preparing for this interview for a long time and making arrangements, but what we're hearing now in the studio is that there's air strikes just been announced."I have three minutes only to get ready to fill in. Unfortunately I have to say goodbye and maybe join you on another occasion - I'm very sorry."The panel were quick to reassure her and wish her the best.Devastated viewers turned to Twitter to share their thoughts on the segment, with one writing: "Just absolutely shocking.
