Man City quartet receive winners medals - over 50 years on from title success
Manchester City announced via their official website that four of their former players had been awarded winners medals in recognition of their contribution to the club’s title-winning season during the 1967/68 campaign.At the time, Stan Horne, Paul Hince, Bobby Kennedy and the late Harry Dowd did not receive medals as when they played, a smaller allocation was being awarded by the Football League, meaning they missed out on receiving silverware in May 1968.However, now the four players have now been honoured for their roles in what was a notable period for the club.Man City announced that they had put in an official request to the EFL for the medals to be granted to the four former players - something which was approved in January 2021.Each
