stabbed following his drop off.The unnamed worker had just made a food delivery to the property in Newark, Nottingham, when the victim came running towards his vehicle covered in blood on July 7 last year.Nottingham Crown Court heard she jumped into the vehicle and screamed "please just go" after suffering injuries in a brutal “unprovoked” attack by her partner's brother Andrius Sidlauskas. She asked him to take her to hospital before she called another person asking them to call the police following the stabbing on Tudor Close.A short time later, the quick thinking driver saw two ambulances waiting at traffic lights and pulled up next to them. The woman got out and paramedics came to her aid before taking her straight to hospital. She required emergency surgery for multiple stab wounds to her body, which included her liver, stomach, chest and arm.Police said her injuries were “very serious” and praised her for helping with the prosecution's case while she recovers from “significant physical and emotional injuries”.Sidlauskas, 34, attacked the victim after she had just taken the food she had ordered into the living room before going into the kitchen. As she opened the fridge door Sidlauskas began to stab her but she managed to run out of the front door to the safety of the delivery driver.Sidlauskas, of Tudor Close, went on to plead guilty to wounding with intent and was jailed for four years on Friday (March 11).Detective Inspector Craig Hall, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The victim’s injuries in this case were very serious as a result of this vicious attack by Sidlauskas.“I would like to commend the delivery driver for their fast actions in protecting the victim and alerting the police.“Our response team and
