Hollywood drama The Breakfast Club took the world by storm in 1985 and quickly became regarded as one of the most iconic movies in history.Following the stories of five teenagers who spend nine hours together in detention while at Shermer High School, the film portrayed comedic elements as well as several heartwarming moments.The movie received favourable attention from the press at the time and the media referred to the film's five main actors as members of the "Brat Pack".Directed by John Hughes The Breakfast Club received critical acclaim and earned $51.5 million on a $1 million budget.Now over 35 years since the film hit theatres, Daily Star has taken a look at where the stars are now.American actress Molly Ringwald took on the iconic role of Claire Standish who was a popular school girl at Shermer High.Claire was given detention because she went shopping instead of going to class.Following on from the success of the movie, actress Molly continued to gain steady work in Hollywood and starred in films Sixteen Candles, Teaching Mrs. Tingle and 1986’s Pretty in Pink.Though she was still hot property in the American film circuit, it was reported that she turned down the female lead roles in Pretty Woman and Ghost in the 1990s.During the 2000s, Molly took a break from making movies but still appeared in small television roles.
